OCEAN is a 50-year-old organization dedicated to the European ship supplies sector. It was founded in 1976 as a Committee of the International Ship Supplies Association (ISSA) and has since represented the interests of this branch in Brussels. OCEAN has specialized in areas such as customs, goods tax, and veterinary law and promotes harmonized governance in the European ship supplies sector. The organization has several supporters including the Verband Deutscher Schiffsausrüster, A.E.S MAR, A.N.P.A.N., Associação Portuguesa de Fornecedores de Navios, and the Bulgarska Skibsleverandorförbundet.
