Registration is conducted through the General Consulate of Panama in Marseille. Special application forms and documents are required for pleasure yachts, while commercial yachts need additional certificates such as the Safety Management Certificate (SMC). The bi-annual fees amount to $1000 for yachts with Panamanian ownership and $1500 for yachts with foreign ownership.
