Norske skipsverft is a Norwegian shipbuilding organization that has secured contracts for the construction of two multi-functional buoy and fairway maintenance vessels. These vessels, designed by VARD 9601, will be built at one of VARD's Norwegian shipyards and are expected to be delivered in the second and fourth quarters of 2029. The contract value exceeds 220 million euros. VARD, a subsidiary of Fincantieri and a leading designer and shipbuilder of specialized vessels, was awarded the contract following an open tender process. The new vessels will replace existing vessels THV Patricia and THV Galatea and are part of Trinity House's fleet renewal plan involving three vessels.
