United States Naval Shipbuilding Museum is located in the former Quincy MA Fore River Shipyard and houses the USS Salem, the world’s only preserved Heavy Cruiser. The museum is open seasonally from 10am to 4pm on Saturdays and Sundays from April 18 to November 22, 2026, and on Fridays during July and August. It is closed on July 4th.
