Asimar S.A., an enterprise of Chilean capital, was founded in 1984 and transformed into a public limited company in 1998. Located in Puerto Quintero, it operates the ASIMAR Muelle, formerly known as the fiscal pier, which received its official name in 1993 from SHOA (Service Harbor Office of Chile). The port facility is ISPS certified and serves as a primary customs zone adjacent to the Customs Office. It also has a special office for SAG, SNS, and International Police for ship reception. Asimar provides logistical support through its port facilities, including fueling and supply services for all ships that call at Quintero Bay, as well as personnel embarkation and disembarkation via two secure piers.
