Muara Port Company Sdn Bhd is a joint-venture company formed on February 15, 2017, by Darussalam Assets Sdn Bhd and Beibu Gulf Holding (Hong Kong) Co. Ltd. The company took over the Muara Conventional Terminal on July 18, 2018, managing both the Muara Container Terminal and the Muara Conventional Terminal. Located on the northeastern coast of Brunei Bay, Muara Port is a semi-diurnal tide port with an average tidal range of 1.2 meters. The port has warehouse facilities and operates as Brunei’s largest port, serving as the main international gateway for trade. Built in 1973, it has an average temperature of 28°C and receives about 3000mm of annual rainfall.
