Scheepswerf C.A. Meerman Arnemuiden is the oldest shipyard in Zeeland, founded in 1763. It is now a working museum where visitors can watch ship repairs or have their boat hauled for maintenance. The shipyard specializes in classical ships and offers restoration and maintenance services. Open from April to October, it is open on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 13:00 to 17:00. The yard has been restored and declared a National Monument after 2004-2005 renovations. It also collaborates with local initiatives to educate schoolchildren about shipbuilding and fishing history.
