Hellenic Hull Management was founded in 1994 and has been a pioneer in hull and machinery insurance for Greek and Cypriot shipowners. Over the past three decades, it has insured over 16,900 vessels globally. As a sustainability leader, Hellenic Hull was the first marine underwriter to adopt the UNEP FI’s Principles for Sustainable Insurance and is a founding member of the Poseidon Principles for Marine Insurance. The company's CEO, Ilias Tsakiris, has been chair of the International Union of Marine Insurance’s Ocean Hull Committee since 2022. In August 2026, Hellenic Hull was accredited for its first dedicated Ocean marine program, which covers hull & machinery, ancillary marine risks, and marine cargo.
