Chemical Distribution Institut (CDI) is a non-profit foundation incorporated in the Netherlands, established by the chemical manufacturing industry in 1994 to serve its members. CDI provides inspection and audit services for the transport and storage of bulk and packaged chemicals, focusing on improving safety, security, and quality performance in marine transportation and storage. The organization operates globally, with recent inspections conducted at terminals such as M/s Adani Hazira Port Limited and IMC Limited. CDI is managed by a Board of Directors consisting of seven individuals nominated by participating chemical companies, and has separate Executive Boards for Marine, Terminals, and Marine Packed Cargo Schemes to oversee day-to-day activities.
