Juva Shipping Oy was founded in 2007 and initially operated a passenger ship service within Finland. In 2008, the company acquired a vessel maintenance facility in Helsinki's Merisadametropole, which also marked the beginning of its food service operations, now separated into its own entity (Peruna & Co. Oy). The acquisition of a shore-based tanker (m/t Oil Finn) ensured logistics support and enabled the creation of their Seapoint vessel terminal brand. In 2015, the passenger ship operations were spun off into Aava Lines Oy. Since 2017, Juva Shipping has been developing various services in Vallisaari as a key player. In 2022, the energy tugboat business was separated into Seapoint Oy. The company's turnover is approximately 6 million euros and it operates from three manned facilities under Saaristo Yhtiöt Oy.
