Trebåtbygger Bodo von Husen specializes in traditional North Norwegian boat building, including Nordlandsbåts and Ranaspisse types. Currently based in Denmark at Vikingeskibsmuseet, Bodo von Husen works on reconstructing ships from Viking times. A notable fact is that in summer 2014, Bodo von Husen built a boat at Hedebymuseet using eik wood for the construction, except for the ribs which were made of furu.
