KS&EW is also a leader in General Engineering works such as sugar factories, cement plants, oil and gas refineries, and LPG tanks. The shipyard operates a training facility to train national resources in the shipbuilding industry. A material testing laboratory is present that chemically, physically, and mechanically tests metals, minerals, and ores.
