SolarDuck is a Dutch-Nordic firm dedicated to the field of floating offshore solar installations and aims to bring more than 1 GW per year into operation from 2030 onwards. The company's base is in Europe, where it builds on the experiences of leading shipbuilding and offshore research institutes. SolarDuck offers solutions for both utility-scale applications as well as mini-grids, including hybrid systems with wind and solar energy. Stand-alone offshore solar installations utilize open sea for the provision of renewable energy sources in regions that other renewables serve less effectively. SolarDuck also offers Offshore Floating Power Hubs (OFPH) to supply remote and submarine installations.
