Tarntank/Sh Tankships is a Swedish tanker company with four generations of family history. The firm was founded in 1958 and has since specialized in the supply of ship and shore types, particularly tankers. Tarntank/Sh Tankships operates three new dual-fuel methanol/Biofuel-ready tankers with a displacement tonnage (dwt) of 15,000 t, which are due for delivery in early 2025 and combine the Hybrid-Solution® provision and Wind-Assist-readiness. The ships are built by the Chinese shipyard China Merchants Jinling in Yangzhou and are equipped with Kongsberg design. Tarntank/Sh Tankships is a leading tanker operator that focuses on the transition to cleaner and fossil-free fuels, such as LNG and biofuels. The company has already placed an order for a new build with an LNG propulsion in the AVIC series to be used in the future.
