Caledonia Offshore Drilling Mclean Limited is closely involved in the planning and realization of the 2GW Caledonia Offshore Wind Farm in cooperation with Ocean Winds. The project, expected to be brought into construction in 2030, will double the Moray Firth's capacity to supply Scotland with local, cost-effective, and environmentally friendly electricity. Ocean Winds has a long tradition in the region dating back to 2009 when the company began building Moray East – Scotland's first commercial-scale offshore wind park in the Moray Firth. Caledonia will bring several billion pounds of value to the Scottish supply chain and provide over 200 qualified positions in long-term operational and maintenance tasks. The project is located on a 429km² ScotWind area that Ocean Winds acquired in 2022.
