Polar Marine Geosurvey Expedition (PMGE), founded in 1962, is the only specialized company in Russia that conducts comprehensive geological and geophysical research and offers a wide range of services for the study of subsoil geology and mineral exploration. The company has been engaged since 1962 with the discovery of significant mines such as Pavlovskoye Polymetall-bearing deposit in Novaya Zemlya, Tomtorskoe Rare Metals Deposit in Yakutia, and Nord-Lyakhovskij Copper District on Novosibirsk Islands. PMGE is a partner under a 15-year Russian agreement with the International Seabed Authority (ISA), focusing on the search and exploration of deep-sea hydrothermal polymetallic sulphides in the central part of the Atlantic Ocean.
