Oostzeeklipper Skylge is a robust and seaworthy two-masted sail clipper, built in 1910 as a Wadden and Sontvaarder under Germanischer Lloyd rules. In 1986, it was refurbished into a passenger sailing ship and registered with Register Holland for Vaargebied II (Waddenzee, German Bight, Western Oostzee). The vessel features a high salon with large side windows, making it popular among guests due to the ample natural light and excellent views. It has been fully re-motorized in 2012 with a Perkins/Sabre M185C engine producing 185hp/129kW. Since 2005, Skylge has exclusively operated individual passenger voyages, which have proven to be successful as evidenced by the growing number of enthusiastic repeat customers who consider it their own ship.
