At Sea Processors Association (APA) is a trade association representing six companies operating 16 U.S.-flagged vessels and particularly participating in the Alaska Pollock fishing and the west coast Pacific Whiting fishery. The fish derived from these fisheries account for approximately one-third of the annually caught fish in the USA by weight. APA advocates for sustainable fisheries and works to ensure healthy fish stocks. The Eastern Bering Sea Alaska Pollock fishery, in which five APA member firms are active, is globally known as a model for sustainable fishing methods and produces more than 3 billion fish meals each year. APA was founded in 2015 and has its headquarters in Seattle, Washington.
