The company works closely with small-scale fishermen to integrate them into the global fishing market. In 2016, they received the first Fair Trade certification as a shrimp company worldwide after meeting all requirements regarding working conditions, trade practices, and responsible environmental practices. Del Pacifico Pesquera uses a specific fishing technique called Suripera, which operates with wind and currents and features the lowest bycatch and fuel consumption per pound. The shrimp are processed to the highest international standards, ensuring an environmentally friendly practice, fair working conditions, and modern processing and equipment materials.
