Malaysian Maritime Services Sdn Bhd (MMS) was founded in 1973 to support Malaysian shipowners and companies in the shipping sector. Today, MMS is part of a diversified corporate group specializing in marine consultancy, risk management, and ship broking. The firm is the only specialized broker for Protection and Indemnity (P&I) business in Malaysia and negotiates directly with P&I clubs and other P&I infrastructure. MMS also offers advice on contract agreements such as charterparties, bills of lading, and other freight contracts. In 1983, the subsidiary MMS (Insurance Brokers) Sdn Bhd was established to offer a broader range of maritime services on a regional level.
