Micteam AB started in 1966 when Micael Brobeck began teaching dance at student accommodations in Stockholm. The business grew quickly, expanding to two studios and hiring Olle Segerås as a teacher. MicTeam specialized in teaching various dances including bugg, modern fox, and salsa. After several years, the company focused on providing dance instructor services to other dance schools and clubs across Sweden. In 2019, Micael Brobeck, Andreas Rosenqvist, and Antonia Norström founded Mic Team, continuing to offer training and leadership courses for dance clubs nationwide. The company also developed the Åhej-technique, a communication method used in dancing. Today, MicTeam operates primarily from Stockholm with a smaller team of instructors.
