Hartbeespoort Boating Club was founded in 1960 and is located at the Hartbeespoort Dam in the Northwest of South Africa. The main activity of the club is boating, with two tractors on-site available to assist with mooring and unmooring of boats. The club grounds feature fuel pumps directly by the water's edge to facilitate refilling of boat tanks without disembarking or removing the boat from the water. There are also jetties for mooring boats, from which members can quickly board their boats and head to the grill area. Safety is a key factor at the club, thus it offers a 24-hour gated environment with a children's playground. The camping ground was specifically set up for boaters and is reservation-dependent; visitors should book before the season starts.
