Yangzijiang Shipbuilding Group is a large industrial complex with shipbuilding and marine engineering as its core business. The company was founded in 1956 and began as a shipbuilding cooperative. Following various developments, including the relocation of the factory in 1975, the stock restructuring in 1999, the construction of a new shipyard complex on the opposite bank of the river in 2005, and the stock listing in 2007, it is now the first Chinese shipbuilding company to be listed in Singapore. The company has an annual revenue of over 70 billion yuan and occupies an area of over 5 million square meters with a shipyard line of over 6,000 meters and a staff of over 6,000. The group consists of four companies, located on both sides of the golden waterway in the lower reaches of the Yangtze River in Jingjiang, Taixing, and Tai.
