ARMADA TECHNOLOGIES, an affiliate of the EcoOne® Marine Technologies Group, wins a contract with Irish Ferries for a feasibility study and integration technology of the Armada ‘passive lubrication system’ (PALS) on board its RoPax ferry W.B. Yeats. The PALS is a second-generation system that uses the forward motion of the ferry to guide water through a series of openings in the bow region of the ferry. Armada Technologies offers specialized solutions for energy efficiency and environmental friendliness. The company began the project in January 2023 to create front-end design, engineering works, and integration feasibility as well as obtain the necessary regulatory approvals for the RoPax ferry W.B. Yeats. The ship W.B. Yeats can accommodate 1,885 passengers and crew and has 435 cabins, with the ability to carry up to 150 vehicles.
