Clyde Docks Preservation Initiative (CDPI) is a research, networking, and advocacy social enterprise founded over a decade ago with the mission of promoting the evolving maritime heritage of the River and Firth of Clyde. The organization has worked in partnership with diverse organizations to raise awareness about the region's maritime heritage issues. CDPI’s flagship project, Clyde.Scot, is a digital platform aimed at raising the global profile of the River and Firth of Clyde as a destination for tourism and recreation, grounded in maritime heritage. They have also developed an inventory called the Clyde Inventory to track changes in the maritime environment over time. In 2018, their campaign contributed to the refusal of planning consent for commercial redevelopment at the Govan Graving Docks, leading to a shift in the conversation about the future of these docks.
